The Sons of Norway Scholarship Funds for 2024

Many scholarships are available through the Sons of Norway for Middle School, High School, and College-age students.
These are offered by the Sons of Norway Foundation, Sons of Norway District 2, and our own Columbia Lodge.

While membership in the Sons of Norway may not be an eligibility requirement for recipients, many of these scholarships
require membership on the part of a close family member (parent, grandparent, etc) or sponsorship by a Lodge member.

Columbia Lodge's Youth Scholarship Fund

Columbia Lodge 2-058 in Vancouver has established a Scholarship Fund to pay a portion of an applicant’s Youth Camp tuition.   Applicants must be children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews of active members of Columbia Lodge.
Scholarship applicants need to have been accepted for the current season to either a District 2 Youth Camp or an educational institution in Norway.
This is a partial reimbursement scholarship, meaning that recipients will receive from Columbia Lodge a portion of enrollment fees they have already paid.
The amount of any award from the Columbia Lodge Scholarship Fund will be governed by the number of requests for qualified applicants in that year, monies available in the Scholarship Fund, the need of the person(s) making the application, and acceptance of the applicant(s) at the Youth Camp or educational institution.

Each individual wishing to request an amount from the Columbia Lodge Scholarship Fund shall submit a hand-written statement of 50 words or more about themselves, the Lodge activities in which they have participated, and why they have enrolled in the Camp or Educational Institution to which they have made application.   This request should be submitted before May 1 of the current year to:
